A PubMed literature search aid for Japanese users. A PubMed literature search aid for Japanese users. PubMed is a leading database of medical literature created by the US National Library of Medicine (NLM), including MEDLINE. MEDLINE lets you search literature published in more than 5,200 journals around the world. PubmedX is an extension designed to help you make the most of PubMed, with the following features: - Translates article titles and abstracts from English to Japanese and displays them on the page. - Displays journal metrics (SJR) and citation counts. Higher citation counts are shown in darker green. - Displays a PDF link button when an open-access PDF is available. - Supports batch PDF downloads. Use the "all PDFs" button in each section to download multiple papers sequentially. - Displays a button to translate the entire page with Google Translate. - Lets you record notes on papers. - Lets you configure custom link buttons for URLs containing a PubMed ID or DOI. PubMed is almost entirely in English, which makes it somewhat difficult for Japanese users to access. PubmedX translates article titles and abstracts on PubMed pages from English to Japanese and displays them on the page. Unlike translating the entire page, this preserves the English information, making the content easier to understand. For most Japanese users, who read Japanese faster than English, this should substantially reduce the time and stress involved in everyday literature searches. Color-coded journal metrics (SJR: SCImago Journal Rank) make it easier to focus on more important papers. It's a small but useful feature. When an open-access PDF is available, a PDF link button is displayed, so you don't have to follow links or struggle to find the paper. If no PDF is found, a link button to the full-text page is displayed. These PDFs can be downloaded without legal issues, so you can use them with confidence. For those who want to view the entire page in Google Translate, buttons are provided to open the current page or the PubMed Central page in Google Translate. You can record notes on papers. If you are logged in to PubMed, a space for notes appears, allowing you to save brief records or summaries of the content. Paper notes are recorded in the EMUYN LLC database together with your login username. You can also download a list of papers with notes in bulk and search for papers using the contents of your notes, greatly expanding how you can use PubMed. You can configure custom link buttons for URLs containing a PubMed ID or DOI (digital object identifier). You can set up your own links to various sites. Example URL: https://doi.org/$doi Label: DOI search This feature can also be used to configure link buttons to sites that download pirated PDFs, but please refrain from doing so. ---------- History ---------- v2.7.1 Pubmed IDs are now recorded in Japanese-English translation data. v2.7.0 Improved the PDF download method.
