An AI selection and technical terminology translation tool for developers. CodeLingo AI 翻译官 is a Chrome extension for translating selected text. When reading English technical documentation, GitHub projects, API documentation, error messages, or development tutorials, select words, phrases, or sentences on a webpage to quickly get concise, accurate translations. The extension is optimized for computing and software development. It prioritizes translations commonly used in the technical community and tries to preserve API names, code identifiers, commands, parameters, file paths, URLs, and product names. AI service configuration: CodeLingo is not tied to a fixed translation service. Users can configure their own AI service address, API Key, and model. Currently supported: OpenAI Responses API OpenAI Chat Completions API DeepSeek 硅基流动 Other services compatible with the OpenAI interface format The extension offers an "automatic adaptation" mode that attempts to select a suitable API protocol based on the service address and interface response. Translation presets: Technical translator: For code, APIs, technical documentation, and computing terminology Concise translator: For everyday web browsing Document localization: For README files, development guides, and product documentation Users can edit each translator's prompt to adjust the translation style for their technical field. Privacy and data: API configuration is saved in the current browser's local storage Translation cache is saved in the current browser The extension contains no advertising or third-party analytics code The extension developer does not operate a translation relay server Text to be translated is sent only to the AI service configured by the user Up to 500 characters of context near the selection are used only for word-sense disambiguation Users can clear the local translation cache at any time Remote AI service addresses must use HTTPS Please note: Using an AI translation service may incur API charges from the provider.
