A simple new tab extension that displays the beautiful words of the 24 solar terms and 72 microseasons over a traditional Japanese color matching the time of year. Tab Sekki is a simple Chrome extension that displays the current calendar's 24 solar terms and 72 microseasons on a new Chrome tab. https://blog.notsobad.jp/entry/2016/12/12/tabsekki The 72 microseasons divide each of the 24 solar terms, such as the beginning of spring, into three. They are traditional seasonal expressions consisting of short phrases describing changes in the weather, plants, and animals. For example: - 蟄虫啓戸 (sugomori mushi to o hiraku): insects emerge from their winter shelters - 雷乃発声 (kaminari sunawachi koe o hassu): thunder begins to sound in the distance Many such expressions evoke the close connection between everyday life and the seasons in earlier times. The background also uses traditional Japanese colors inspired by the season, with subtle Japanese patterns. Click the tweet button to share the current microseason with everyone on Twitter. These days, when working at a PC, there are few opportunities to experience the seasons. I hope the beautiful colors and words will help you feel the season, if only when you open a new tab.
