Keep YouTube working with an ad blocker: hides the interruption toast and closes the warning popup. Best with uBlock Origin Lite. Watch YouTube normally with an ad blocker installed. Formerly "Youtube Anti-Adblock Bypass"; existing installs update automatically. It works alongside your ad blocker rather than replacing it: it does not block network requests and shows no ads of its own. It deals with what YouTube does once it thinks an ad blocker is present, so that videos keep playing. Use it together with an ad blocker such as uBlock Origin Lite. WHAT IT DOES • One-button on/off. The toolbar icon and the button in the popup are gray when disabled, green when working, red when it could not get videos to start. • Hides the "Experiencing interruptions? Find out why" toast and closes the "Ad blockers are not allowed on YouTube" warning popup, without ever pressing "Allow YouTube ads". • Works on the buffering delay YouTube adds before a video starts: it retries playback the way uBlock Origin does, learns which retry works for you, and stops retrying when none does, so it never makes the wait longer. How much it helps depends on what YouTube is doing at the time. • Removes ad slots from the player data, so in-video ads are skipped even when your blocker only filters network requests. • Auto mode. Ad blockers handle YouTube in different ways, and two of them working on the same page can stop videos from starting. The extension tries to take over first; if videos fail to start, it steps back and only hides the toast and the popup, and it remembers the choice. You can also pick a mode yourself in Advanced settings. RECOMMENDED SETUP uBlock Origin Lite with youtube.com set to Basic. Basic keeps uBlock's network filtering and leaves the page to this extension. With uBlock Origin Lite on Optimal or Complete, or with other blockers that inject scripts into YouTube, the extension detects the overlap and switches itself to the yield mode automatically. This extension is not affiliated with uBlock Origin. GOOD TO KNOW • Only www.youtube.com is handled; YouTube Music, the mobile site and embedded players are not. • YouTube changes its detection from time to time. If videos stop playing, tap the button to disable the extension and wait for an update. • Using ad blockers on YouTube is against YouTube's Terms of Service; YouTube may slow down or block playback for accounts it flags. YouTube Premium is the only way to get ad-free playback without any of this. • No data is collected or sent anywhere.
