To get started with our software extension, follow these steps.
Make sure OpenOffice is installed on your computer.
Install our software extension "Open in OpenOffice".
After installing our software, refresh all existing Chrome tabs, or close Chrome and restart it.
Use the right-click context menu to select the document link you want to open in OpenOffice.
It's that simple. Whenever you want to use OpenOffice, you can select it from the right-click context menu to open a document. You can edit the document in OpenOffice because our software extension downloads the Word document when you right-click and then attempts to open the DOCX file with our software.
