Enables use of the Рутокен Web Plugin. The main purpose of Рутокен Web is to replace insecure username and password authentication with hardware-based two-factor authentication. The first authentication factor is possession of a Рутокен Web USB token; the second is knowledge of its unique PIN. The solution is based on electronic signature technology and makes it possible to reduce the risk of theft or unauthorized use of web resource user accounts to zero. Рутокен Web capabilities Trojans, phishing, or traffic interception cannot steal the physical hardware device itself or forge or substitute an electronic signature. Рутокен Web is cross-platform and works across browsers, has a low cost of ownership, and is convenient to use. The product is based on electronic signature technology and consists of three components: USB token — an electronic key capable of creating electronic signatures. It works as an HID device and does not require drivers. Browser plugin — connects the USB token to the browser. It does not require administrator rights to install. It uses only built-in browser APIs and does not require additional components, frameworks, or platforms such as Java, Microsoft Silverlight, and others. It works with all major browsers on MS Windows, Apple OS X, and GNU/Linux. Server component — implements electronic signature verification on the server. Mechanisms are available for various platforms and development tools, namely PHP, ASP.NET, WordPress, Joomla, and Битрикс. If a user loses the token, they can access the site once without the USB token. This uses a one-time access code printed on a scratch card included with Рутокен Web. This access recovery mechanism ensures uninterrupted use of the web resource.
