This extension finds videos on the web sites you are browsing and allows you to play them on your Chromecast device. CastBuddy helps you discover direct video links on the webpage you’re viewing and play compatible media on your Chromecast, Google TV, or other Google Cast device. Simply open a page containing a video, launch CastBuddy, and choose from the videos it finds. Your Cast device loads the selected video directly, so screen mirroring is not required. Features: - Discover compatible videos on the current webpage - Cast from a convenient Chrome side panel - Play, pause, seek, adjust volume, and stop playback - Save video links for later - Add a direct video URL manually - Rescan pages when videos load dynamically - Open the full CastBuddy app for a larger workspace CastBuddy works best with publicly accessible HTTPS videos in widely supported formats, especially MP4 with H.264 video and AAC audio. Compatibility depends on the website, media format, and Cast device. Videos protected by DRM, temporary blob: links, or URLs requiring browser cookies or account access may not play because the Cast device must be able to access the video directly. CastBuddy does not download videos or bypass website protections. Please cast only content you are authorized to access.
