Description
Browse web and capture tabs you like, easy and quick.
Quick Snip is a fast, private screenshot tool for Chrome. Grab exactly what you need, mark it up, and save it — without accounts, uploads, or clutter.
📸 Three ways to capture
Visible area — everything on screen right now — Ctrl+Shift+1
Selected region — drag to grab just the part you want — Ctrl+Shift+2
Full page — the entire scrolling page, stitched into one image — Ctrl+Shift+3
(On Mac: ⌘+Shift+1 / ⌘+Shift+2 / ⌘+Shift+9. Or just click the toolbar icon.)
✏️ Annotate before you save — Draw, sketch, and add text in the built-in editor. Undo/redo with Ctrl+Z / Ctrl+Y, pick any color, remove anything with a click.
🗂️ Your last 10 captures, always a click away — Every screenshot lands in your library, ready to copy, share, or download as PNG or JPG. Auto-download saves them straight to your Downloads folder.
⚡ Fast and reliable — Full-page capture is quick and precise, and downloads work even on large, image-heavy pages.
🔒 Private by design — No accounts. No servers. No analytics. Your screenshots are created and stored on your device and never leave it.
## What's new (version notes) v1.5.0
- ✨ Annotate right after capture — a preview card lets you edit, copy, save, or
dismiss on the page
- 🖼️ New in-page editor — annotate over the page without opening a tab
- 📄 Full-page captures can now be **saved and annotated** in your library, not
just downloaded
- ⚙️ New "After capture" choice — show a preview, open the editor, or save
silently
- ⚡ Quick "Library & Editor" and "Annotate last capture" actions in the popup
- 🗂️ Smarter storage with usage meters — keep more recent captures, oldest
replaced automatically (no more hard 10-item limit)
- 🔒 Still 100% local — no accounts, servers, or analytics
