Latinizator

An extension that converts Cyrillic text on a page to Latin script. From time to time, discussions arise on the Internet about the possibility and necessity of moving the Russian language from the Cyrillic alphabet to a new alphabet based on Latin script. Latinizator is a Google Chrome browser extension that offers a chance to see firsthand what Russian text looks like in Latin transliteration. The conversion rules are taken from the ISO 9:1995 standard. It should be noted that an actual reform of the Russian alphabet would probably involve more than transliteration alone, so the extension offers only an approximate conversion.
