Send Felica and Mifare card IDs to web pages by clicking a button. This extension sends Felica and Mifare card IDs from a PC/SC-compatible card reader to web pages. (To read cards, the Win32 application distributed on GitHub is required.) Currently it only reads IDs; functions such as reading and writing unencrypted areas are planned for the future. GitHub URL: https://github.com/yosuke1984chrome/chrome_nfcbridge_win32 This extension sends information from Felica and Mifare cards read by a PC/SC-compatible IC reader/writer to web pages. (A separate Win32 application distributed on the GitHub page above is required to read cards.) Currently it only reads IDs; functions such as reading and writing unencrypted areas are planned. A detailed Japanese explanation appears below. --------------------- Environments --------------------- 1. OS: Windows 32-bit only 2. IC cards: Mifare Classic, Mifare Ultralight, Felica, Felica Lite-S 3. Devices: PC/SC-compatible IC card readers (drivers for each device are also required) --------------------- How to install --------------------- 1. Add this extension to Chrome. 2. Download 'chrome.nfcbridge.win32' as a ZIP file from the GitHub page. (Click the 'download ZIP' button to download it.) 3. Unzip the file and install the Win32 application as described in 'InstallGuide_en.txt'. 4. To update the Win32 application, download and install the latest version from the GitHub page. --------------------- Use in popup page --------------------- Clicking the button in the popup starts reading the card ID. 1. Click the extension icon to open the popup. 2. Click the 'get ID' button and hold up the card, then check the card ID. (7-byte UID for Mifare cards and 8-byte IDm for Felica cards.) 3. If the current web page has an HTML element with the ID 'cardId', its value is set to the card ID. --------------------- Use in web pages --------------------- You can also embed the 'get ID' button in your own web page. See the sample HTML included in the ZIP file or the extension's options page. 1. Embed an element with the ID 'startPolling' and an element with the ID 'cardId' in your web page. 2. Clicking the 'startPolling' element starts reading the IC card. 3. The card ID is added to the 'cardId' element when it is read. 4. The extension stops when the page is navigated away from or closed, and the Win32 application also stops. (A custom 'getId' event fires when the card ID is sent, so you can associate your script with that event when reading cards.) Any comments would be appreciated. Cautions: 1. I take no responsibility for damage arising from installing or using this extension and application. 2. OS: Windows 32-bit (other operating systems are not supported) 2. IC cards: Felica, Felica Lite-S, Mifare Classic, Mifare Ultralight 3. Devices: PC/SC-compatible IC reader/writer (the driver for each reader/writer is also required) ■ Installation: 1. Add this extension to Chrome. 2. Download 'chrome.nfcbridge.win32' as a ZIP file from the GitHub page. (Use the download ZIP button on the right side of the page.) 3. Extract the ZIP file and install the application according to 'InstallGuide'. 4. To update the Win32 application, likewise download and install the latest version from GitHub. ■ Using the popup: 1. Click the extension icon in the upper-right corner of the browser to open the popup. 2. Press the popup's 'get IDm' button, hold up the card, and check that the card ID appears. (An 8-byte IDm is displayed for Felica cards and a 7-byte UID for Mifare cards.) 3. If the displayed web page contains an HTML element with the ID 'cardId', its value is changed to the card ID. ■ Using it on web pages (Refer to the sample HTML file included with the application on GitHub and the extension's options page.) 1. Embed elements with the IDs 'startPolling' and 'cardId' in the web page where you want to use the ID. 2. Clicking the 'startPolling' element starts reading the card ID. 3. When reading is complete, the ID is written to the value of the 'cardId' element. 4. Navigating away from or closing the page stops reading and also exits the Win32 application. (When the ID is sent, a custom 'getId' event fires on the cardId element. Link any action you want to perform during reading to that event.) ※ Notes and disclaimer ※ 1.
