It displays supplementary dictionary content beside the current word or phrase and provides locally calculated English word-break references (typographic break points do not necessarily correspond to pronunciation syllables). Key features: • Collins bilingual definitions and examples • Phrases, synonyms, near-synonyms, and usage comparisons • Option to show Shanbay's original definitions • Retains original definitions and allows retries if a request fails • Supports the current web page, dark mode, and narrow windows There is no need to click the toolbar button after installation; the extension runs automatically on Shanbay Words learning and detail pages. Data and privacy: When a page opens or switches to a word or phrase, the extension reads that content and sends it to dict.youdao.com over HTTPS to retrieve supplementary dictionary content. Requests do not include cookies or the source page URL; the extension does not read or send Shanbay account information, learning records, or other page content.
