Description
Adjust tab audio volume, panning, limiter settings, and more.
You can apply effects to tab audio from the extension icon. Use it to adjust volume, prevent excessively loud or distorted sound, or make audio from multiple windows easier to distinguish.
## Volume
The scale is adjustable, up to 20 times the original volume. Click to mute instantly. The upper volume bar represents the left channel and the lower bar the right channel; sound may distort if the level exceeds the right edge.
Click “In page” to add or remove a volume bar that can be moved around the page by drag and drop.
## Limiter
Automatically reduces volume when it exceeds a specified level. Click “Graph” to see the effect curve and use it as a guide when adjusting the settings.
With the default values, it also adjusts the sound when the volume is raised so high that it might distort.
## Panning
Select a mode and move the circle that appears to change the perceived position of the sound source.
“Stereo” simply distributes audio between left and right. “Binaural” is designed for earphones or headphones: it lets you set the direction from which sound is heard and emulates spatial audio. You can also convert audio to mono before panning.
## Additional details
- The browser's tab mute setting is ignored.
- Due to API limitations, fullscreen display is restricted while the extension is in use. Try the F11 key.
- At startup, settings are copied from a suitable tab in the same window (currently in order: the tab that opened this one, the tab to the left, and the tab to the right).
