Support tool for accessing resources
A tool that helps users request document copies and obtain open-access papers.
After installation, click the icon at the top of the browser and select "Options" to open the options window. Enter the initial settings and click "Save". The settings are as follows:
- [Send to]: Recipient email address
- [Send to (CC)]: CC recipient email address
- Subject: Email subject. The default is "Article Request".
- Others: Text to include at the beginning of the email
- Alert Message: Text to display as a browser notification. The default is "Mail".
- Font-color: Notification text color. The default is white.
- Find OA: Select this to find open-access papers. It is unselected by default.
When you visit an article information page on a publisher's website or bibliographic database, a green notification appears at the bottom left of the browser. Click it to open the email client configured on your device and compose an email. The email includes the bibliographic details and recipient address, so you can easily request a document copy by pressing the email client's send button.
If you have enabled the option to display open-access papers, a similar notification beginning with "OA" appears. Click it to go to the open-access paper.
