re:consent - More control over your privacy online This add-on shows you the purposes of data collection you may have unknowingly agreed to on websites such as Google or Facebook. You can then change the settings quickly and easily. The extension aims to give you better insight into the data websites collect and process about you when you visit them. It shows you the often well-hidden privacy settings and lets you quickly and easily review and change your consent to data collection, for example through location access or cookie tracking. re:consent works on Google and Facebook websites and on sites that use the "Transparency & Consent Framework" of the Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB). In addition to the Firefox extension, the free tool is integrated into the Cliqz Browser for Windows and Mac. It is also available as a Chrome extension. re:consent offers improved control over the data you share directly with website operators. It is therefore a useful complement to the anti-tracking and ad-blocking features of Cliqz and Ghostery, which prevent tracking by (hidden) third parties on websites. re:consent is open-source software from Munich-based Cliqz GmbH, a company in which Mozilla and Hubert Burda Media hold stakes.
