Securely manage local TunnelDeck SSH tunnels from the Chrome side panel. TunnelDeck is an open-source SSH local port-forwarding tool. It brings commonly used ssh -L connections to the Chrome side panel, allowing developers and operations staff to access web consoles, databases and other TCP services that require SSH as needed. Important: This extension requires the TunnelDeck desktop app. The desktop app establishes SSH connections; the extension uses Chrome Native Messaging to send actions initiated by the user. Before first use, install the desktop app and register the browser integration following the instructions in the GitHub project: https://github.com/Nciae-Zyh/TunnelDeck Key features: • Create, edit and import SSH local port-forwarding configurations; • Start and stop tunnels and view their status in the Chrome side panel; • Sync tunnel configurations between the browser extension and desktop app; • Support SSH passwords, private keys and encrypted private key passphrases; • Ask users to verify the SSH host fingerprint on first connection; • Support SSH Keepalive and optional automatic reconnection after disconnection; • Show only services explicitly marked as HTTP or HTTPS as web entry points; • Open the corresponding service in the browser only when the user clicks it. Security and privacy: • The extension itself does not implement SSH in the browser or execute arbitrary Shell commands; • It does not read webpage content or browsing history; • It does not request permission to access all websites; • SSH configurations and credentials are not sent to TunnelDeck developer servers; • Passwords are not saved by default; • If the user explicitly chooses to remember credentials, the desktop app writes them to the operating system's secure storage; • The desktop app provides local port forwarding only and does not provide remote command execution.
