It helps non-native English learners discover new expressions while browsing the web. 单词发现者 is permanently free, open source, and ad-free. Some features of the extension: 单词发现者 is better than a "once a day" type of program because it highlights new words in the text you read. This provides a useful incentive to look up their definitions and learn those words or idioms. Depending on the size of your vocabulary, you can adjust the frequency threshold for highlighting words. For example, you can skip the 25% most common English words and highlight all the rest. This threshold cannot be set for idioms and proverbs; the extension can either show all of them or none. If you already know the definition of a highlighted word, you can add it to your personal vocabulary, and it will no longer be highlighted. Fun fact: Most native English-speaking adults know 20,000–35,000 words, so it is entirely possible to add all of those words to your vocabulary file.
