Chat with GPT-3 in real time on the flomo website. I. Introduction This is an extremely simple extension built using the OpenAI API. After installation, it does not add any extra UI to your flomo interface. To describe its effect simply, you can think of it as adding free NotionAI-like capabilities (10%) to your flomo. To use the extension, you only need to remember one trigger and two guide words: Trigger: Enter “gpt:” on any line in the editor at the top of flomo, followed by the instruction you want GPT to carry out, and press Enter. Usually, after 1–2 seconds, GPT's reply will be added directly below your instruction. Guide words: Normally, the extension sends only the instruction entered on the line after “gpt:” to OpenAI, which is suitable for ordinary questions. However, if you want to process existing text in the editor, you can include guide words such as “above” or “below” directly in the instruction. In this case, the extension will also send the text above or below the instruction line to OpenAI as part of the instruction. For example, you can write “gpt:Check the text above for typos or grammatical errors”. The extension is completely free, but you need an OpenAI API key. II. Steps to use the extension 1. Install this extension. 2. Go to https://platform.openai.com/account/api-keys to obtain an API key. 3. Visit a flomo page, such as https://v.flomoapp.com/mine/? 4. On first use, enter and save the API key in the pop-up at the top of the page (it is stored entirely locally and poses no risk). III. Content privacy and security 1. This extension works by monitoring the flomo editor locally in the browser and calling the OpenAI API. There is no intermediate data transmission. Therefore, neither the creator of this extension (me) nor any third-party cloud service platform will obtain your content because of this extension. 2. Your normal text input does not interact with OpenAI in real time. The OpenAI API is contacted only after you enter “gpt:” in the text editor, finish entering your content, and press Enter.
