If you cannot look up any words after installation, or can look up only some words, completely remove the app and reinstall it. Be careful not to interrupt the installation. 2. Some definitions have "two" incorrectly written as "ten", and other numbers may also be wrong. This problem has little effect on use and is difficult to fix. Thank you for your understanding. 3. Why is searching by selecting text on a page not supported? There are two reasons: First, Chrome now imposes restrictions on Apps (note: Apps, not Extensions), making this feature impossible. Second, OALD 7 is intended as a dictionary. Its purpose is simply to bring the dictionary to Chrome and let you see more detailed word definitions. 4. How do I back up my vocabulary list and other data when reinstalling the operating system? Using Windows 7 as an example, assuming Chrome is installed in the default location, open the following folder before reinstalling: C:\Users\你的用户名\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\User Data\Default\databases\chrome-extension_nmdnfeohnddmdmknpjbmnknkmkpcehhn_0 (the final digit may differ, but the preceding nmdnfeoh characters will be the same; this is the App ID). Inside is a file named with a number (there may be more than one), approximately 80 MB in size. Back up this file. After reinstalling the operating system or Chrome, first install the OALD 7 App from this page. Once installed, open the folder above, delete the existing files in it, and put the backup file there. Changes to Chrome caused the pop-up notification feature previously used by Oald 7 to stop working. However, some users could not upgrade promptly, and I have been busy recently, so I did not update the software in time. I am very sorry! More significantly, because of interface changes, the small pop-up can no longer provide pronunciation, example sentences, Chinese/English switching, or middle-click closing as before. You can only click the content to open the definition screen or close the pop-up directly, which greatly reduces usability. This is only a temporary solution.
