Under The Leaf: By Marisol Ortega “Inspired by my findings in nature, ‘Under the Leaf’ was created to remind us that sometimes we only have to look under our noses to find what we’re looking for.” Marisol Ortega is a first-generation Mexican-American designer, illustrator, and letterer living and working in the Pacific Northwest. She pulls inspiration from childhood memories of visiting her abuela’s home in Michoacán, Mexico. -- “‘Under the Leaf’ is inspired by what I discovered in different natural environments and reminds us that sometimes we only need to look around us to find what we are looking for.” Marisol Ortega is a first-generation Mexican-American who lives and works in the Pacific Northwest.
