詳細介紹
Spell-check any web page with Chrome's built-in checker: see typos underlined and fix them right on the page.
Proofread any web page in one click.
Webpage Spell-Check turns on Chrome's built-in spell checker for the text of the page you're viewing. Misspelled words get the familiar red underline, and you can right-click any of them for suggestions. Great for checking your own website, blog posts, documentation or online articles before you publish.
HOW TO USE
1. Click the Webpage Spell-Check icon in the toolbar.
2. Press "Turn on spell check".
3. Click anywhere in the page text. Chrome underlines spelling mistakes in the area you click. On long pages it can take a few seconds for all of them to appear.
FEATURES
• One-click on/off for the current page, with a clear On/Off status
• "Always check this website": turns on automatically for sites you choose
• "Check all websites": turns on automatically everywhere
• "Keep links clickable": links keep working while spell check is on
• Right-click a word for spelling suggestions or "Add to dictionary"
• Works in light and dark mode
GOOD TO KNOW
• To show the underlines, the extension temporarily makes the page editable. Anything you type only changes your own view of the page, never the real website, and reloading the page restores it.
• Chrome's spell check must be turned on: Settings → Languages → Spell check. The language set there is the one used for checking.
• Chrome doesn't allow extensions on some pages, such as chrome:// pages, the New Tab page and the Chrome Web Store. Open a regular website to try it.
• Names and technical terms may be flagged. Right-click them and choose "Add to dictionary".
• If a site behaves oddly while spell check is on, turn it off from the popup or switch off the auto-check options.
WHAT'S NEW IN 0.4
• Redesigned popup with a clearer layout and status
PRIVACY
No accounts and no tracking. The extension doesn't collect, store or send any page content or personal data. Your preferences are saved locally in your browser.
