The 9.99 promotion is a trade-in offer where you pay €9.99 and hand in two old games to receive a new game from the promotion. If each used game costs €20 to buy, the final price for a brand-new game, including the €9.99 payment, is €49.99. Video games are hardly ever that cheap in stores. If you are lucky, you can often find used games for €15 each or less and lower the price of new games even further. You cannot trade in two copies of the same game in the promotion. Some GameStop stores do allow multiple copies of the same game, however, provided you have another game for each copy. For example, you could buy four copies of a FIFA title and combine them with four copies of Battlefield or a similar game. Please check in advance what your GameStop store allows.
